The sidings just north of Wembley Park station (on the right of
the photograph) were provided by the Metropolitan Railway from
the early-1920s and soon became covered accommodation.
However, as related in previous issues of Underground News,
they have recently become open-air sidings again. An A stock
train on the southbound ‘fast’ Metropolitan Line passes the new
sidings on 30 March 2006 with A60 DM 5044 leading.
